Class Descriptions Yogamatrix Studio offers both traditional and unique Yoga classes to meet the different needs of our community. Please, read our class descriptions and take as many classes as you like. Remember, in Yoga “an ounce of practice is worth several tons of theory.” The benefits of Yoga are cumulative: the more you practice, the greater the results. All our Yoga classes involve stretching and strengthening exercises, breathing techniques and a relaxation at the end. Enjoy your practice! Breathing and Meditation Hip & Back Flexibility Hatha Yoga Basics Hatha Yoga- All Levels Pre & postnatal Yoga Breathing and Meditation Private Classes Sunrise Yoga YIN YOGA- Yin Yoga is a variety of poses targeting the deeper and hidden tissues of the body such as the connective tissue – ligaments, tendons and fascia. Recent research in Japan and US links the connective tissue to the flow of energy in the body (Chi or Prana). Benefits include a deeper range of motion, an increased flow of energy, healthier joints, improved health, greater strength, reduced stress levels. Beneficial to all. No Yoga experience needed. Vinyasa – Yoga FlowMove to the next level of Yoga and go deeper acquiring more balance, focus and strength. It includes progressive variations of Suryanamaskar (sun exercise) and Chandranamaskar (moon exercise) leading to a sequence of standing Yoga poses. Be prepared to detoxify in a deeper level. Some Yoga experience recommended. Healing Power of Yoga– Take charge of your health! In a safe environment through proper breathing, gentle poses, and long relaxation you will trigger the healing powers of your body. AM: Focused on gentler movements and longer relaxation. PM: Focused on the regulation of the hormonal system. Yoga for Energy - Are you feeling depleted, tired or overwhelmed? We have a reservoir of potential energy that we do not fully utilize because we are not even aware of it. “Yoga for Energy” is designed to bring out this dormant energy for you to regain vitality and restore alignment through precise movements and dynamic breathing. Yoga for Weightloss- For those who want to increase metabolic functions of the body, lose weight, improve health condition, gain flexibility and develop a sense of well-being, self-esteem and inner serenity. Laughter Yoga Leader Training Certification:- Become a Certified Laughter Yoga Leader and/or learn how to bring more joy into your life with this two-day program. Get the skills you need to help you and others access the unlimited source of joy within all of us. September 11th & 12th. Saturday 1:30-7pm & Sunday 9-5pm. Early registration : $295 by Aug 9. Full registration: $345 after Aug 9. Lymphatic Yoga- The Lymphatic System is both the septic system of the body and the provider of cell nourishment. The Yoga poses and breathing in this class intentionally help to drain and clear the lymph for improved health, weight loss, and cellular activity.
